Smart IoT for Precision Agriculture

Prof. Jaime Lloret received his B.Sc.+M.Sc. in Physics in 1997, his B.Sc.+M.Sc. in electronic Engineering in 2003 and his Ph.D. in telecommunication engineering (Dr. Ing.) in 2006. He is a Cisco Certified Network Professional Instructor and he has 7 Cisco Networking Academy Certifications. He also has the Hewlett-Packard IT Architect Certification. He worked as a network designer and administrator in several enterprises. He is Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has been the Chair of the Integrated Management Coastal Research Institute (IGIC) from January 2017 to March 2025. He is the Coordinator of the PhD in Marine and Coastal Science and Technology and the Director of the Inter-University Chair of the Sea and Sustainability of the Nautical Sector. He was the founder of the "Communications and Networks" research group of the IGIC. He has authored 15 books and has more than 1000 research papers published in national and international conferences, international journals (more than 600 with Clarivate Analytics JCR). He has led many local, regional, national and European projects. Moreover, he is included in the world’s top 2% scientists according to the Stanford University List since 2019.

Amir HAJJAM EL HASSANI is a Full Professor at the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM) and Deputy Director of the SINERGIES Laboratory. An internationally recognized expert in Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research, he has dedicated his career for over twenty years to pioneering predictive and personalized medicine. Throughout his journey, he has secured and managed major research and clinical trial budgets totaling more than €17 million. His work in intelligent remote medical monitoring has successfully driven significant industrial technology transfers, including the creation of deeptech start-ups. Serving as a scientific expert for French, European, and African research agencies, Professor Hajjam El Hassani has authored over 200 publications in leading international journals and conference proceedings. A frequent keynote speaker, he actively shapes the future of digital health transformation on a global scale.

Edge Intelligence in IoT: From Smarter Systems to Safer Systems

Dr. Sandra Sendra received her degree in Technical Engineering in Telecommunications in 2007. She received her M.Sc. of Electronic Systems Engineering in 2009 and her Ph.D. in electronic engineering (Dr. Ing.) in 2013. Currently, she is an associate professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) (Spain) and Academic Director of the Degree in Interactive Technologies, taught at the Gandia Campus of the UPV. She is the author of 8 book chapters and 1 book. She has more than 125 research papers published in national and international conferences, international journals (more than 60 with Clarivate Analytics impact factor). She has participate in 30 research projects (4 of them international projects) and has led 4 projects as IP or CoIP related to the development of a WSN for environmental monitoring. In addition, she is included in the list of the 2% of the best researchers in the world according to Stanford University since 2022. Her research interests include saving energy techniques in electronic circuits, sensor deployment, WSN, UWSN and the application of these technologies for environmental monitoring.
